I thought working in an accounting department would be strict. However, as I’m going through the internship, the people I work with are very kind and welcoming. The work environment is different from what I imagined.

3. A Challenge I Faced
There is a lot of information accountants work with and sorting through it can be very overwhelming. I was given a project where I had to go through information and group them based on specific information. I did my best and this helped me to coordinate with another person. In the end, things worked out as the more we grouped them, the easier the information was organized.

4. One Fun Fact From My Experience
When I started, I got the impression I would be by myself. However, on my first day of work I discovered a fellow classmate will also work with me.

5. Advice for Future Interns
Communication is key. Talking with the people you work with makes problems easier to deal with and solve. Asking questions is another important area to do as it can take some stress off your shoulders when you’re not sure how to do something. Both asking questions and communicating have helped me in my internship in all different matters.
